Local swimmers make waves

During the recent Elite Gala held in Newcastle, swimmers from Ferrum High School obtained the following results:

– Vanessa van der Merwe: Four gold medals.

– Cameron Fraser: Two silver and two bronze medals.

– Francois Viviers: A gold, silver and bronze medal.

– Arno van Zyl: A gold and silver medal.

– Francois Weyers: Three silver and three bronze medals.

– Dewald van Zyl: A bronze medal.

– Ruan Janse van Vuuren: A gold and five silver medals.

– Ingrid Groenewald: One silver and three bronze medals.

– Ruben Nortjé: Five gold and one silver medal.

– Cornel-Marie van der Merwe: One silver and two bronze medals.

– Graham Whitehead: One silver and two bronze medals.

– Minette Janse van Vuuren: Four gold, two silver and one bronze medal.

– Wuan Pretorius: A gold and silver medal.

– Gerian Kock: A gold medal.

– FC Scholtz: Two silver medals.

– Storm van der Merwe: One silver and two bronze medals.
