Paintballers go ‘behind enemy lines’

Flags were hoisted high and then it was down to business as the "weekend warriors" crouched and prowled in search of the enemy

The Ladysmith Paintball Team held a scenario match set in World War II on Saturday morning.

The scene: An Allied Forces pilot had been shot down behind enemy lines and a platoon of soldiers were sent in to rescue him.

They had to move the pilot to a landing zone to be picked up (extraction) before he was captured by the enemy.

The teams exchanged paintball fire and smoke grenades, leading to an eventful day.

Flags were hoisted high and then it was down to business as the “weekend warriors” crouched and prowled in search of the enemy. The teams had a great time for sure!

The paintball team would like to convey a word of thanks to Cobus from Signrex for sponsoring the team’s banner, which is hung up in town before events.
