Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a stabbing in KwaMthethwa, Siyahlala-la on Saturday, March 5.
Lizzy Arumugam from Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications said an alteration between two men resulted in the stabbing of the victim, whereupon the perpetrator fled.
Residents summoned the police. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for his injuries. He is in a stable condition.
“No one has been arrested yet, but the investigation continues,” said Mrs Arumugam.
Police are urging anyone with information which could possibly lead to the arrest of the suspect to please come forward and report it to the SAPS on 034 3146193 or 10111.
