The State of the Town address has come and gone.
Now, all sectors will turn their attention to the presentation of the budget roadshows, with dates confirmed by the municipality.
The first of a series of roadshows begins on April 5.
Business chambers, organised business and farmers associations get the first bite of the apple, at the Exco Chamber at 5pm.
To follow are municipal staff and ward committees.
The presentation for their benefit takes place at the Show Hall on April 7, at 1pm.
The remainder of dates are as follows:
April 8 – IDP representatives, IGR Technical Task Team, traditional healers, youth structures, men/women forums, interfaith and ministers’ associations, NGOs and FBOs at the Town Hall at 2pm.
April 9 – Wards 22, 20 and part of 21 at the Mbalenhle School grounds at 10am; wards 26, 28 and part of 27 at Thobani School fields at 2pm.
April 10 – Ward 14, 19, 27, 29 and part of 31 at Dedangifunde sports fields at 10am; wards 23, 24 and part of 21 at the Phelendaba Stadium at 2pm.
April 15 – Ward 20 at SV Zulu School in KwaMathukuza at 2pm.
April 16 – Wards 7, 8, 9 and 10 at the cricket oval at 10am; wards 13, 17 and part of 7, 18 and 30 at Sesiyabonga School at 2pm.
April 17 – Ward 8 and part of 10 and 30 at the bus depot at 10am; wards 10, 11 and part of 30 at the oSizweni Hall at 2pm.
April 19 – Ward 1 at Normandien at 2pm.
April 21 – Wards 2, 3, 4, 5 and 25 at the Farmers Hall at 5pm.
April 22 – Ward 1 at the Charlestown Hall at 2pm.
April 23 – Ward 21 at the open space at Bosworth Farm at 10am; Ward 31 at Esididini at 2pm.
April 24 – Wards 6, 7, 12, 15, 16 and 18 at the Mzamo sport fields at 10am.
