Crisis Centre makes a difference thanks to DSD

The Dundee Crisis Centre continue to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate with their recycling and feeding schemes.

Now thanks to the Department of Social Development (DSD), the Crisis Centre can do so much more. The DSD now provides the centre with monetary stipends to host events for the public. The first of these monthly events was held last week Wednesday to commemorate Freedom Day. It also focused on Victim Empowerment and Womens’ Rights.

The following day the Crisis Centre hosted an event for mothers and children. Community members were treated to snacks in the form of sandwiches and chips, as well as juice and milk.

Manager, Carol Bradley, is thankful for the extra monthly income as it means that the Crisis Centre can now do more for those less fortunate.
