An elderly couple living on a farm close to Nottingham Road were fund beaten at their home late last night.
The 77-year-old man and his wife (70) were reportedly preparing to go to bed when they were assaulted and their hands bounds by intruders.
“It is understood that they managed to free themselves and call the police for help,” commented ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing.
Paramedics arrived at the farm on the D380 road, about 5km from Nottingham Road, and provided treatment to the coupe who sustained injuries to their heads and bruising to their wrists.
