Motorists furious about new speed humps in Ruby Gailey Drive
4 new speed humps have been put up
People living in the Observation Hill area are not at all happy about the speed humps in Ruby Gailey Drive.
4 new speed humps are now dotted along Ruby Gailey Drive.
People are complaining that the speed humps are high and damage their vehicles. Motorists say you have to stop dead and then very slowly proceed over the humps, otherwise their vehicles risk damage.
Resident and motorbike owner Francois Brits is furious about this matter. “There are so many potholes in this street, so why put up high and dangerous speed humps instead of fixing the potholes?” says Francois.
He added that the municipality should have made the humps wider to make it easier to get over them safely.
We are awaiting a response from the municipality regarding this matter.
