A young woman is in critical condition after being stabbed near Verdriet Farm on April 20.
Ambulance personnel assessed the victim on the scene, and immediately notified the police.
According to reports, paramedics discovered the victim was stabbed 17 times, and sexually assaulted by the suspects.
She was subsequently transferred to Madadeni Provincial Hospital, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Two men, believed to be between the ages of 19 and 20, were later arrested for the crime. The perpetrators will face charges of rape and attempted murder.
In the meantime, the incident will remain subject to police investigations.
