High School scoops awards at ceremony

Newcastle High School has been deemed one of the best performing schools in the circuit and district.

This comes after a recent awards function hosted by Martin Khumalo, Circuit Management, to honor his schools for excellence.

During the awards ceremony, NHS scooped second place as the best quality results school, in terms of Bachelor passes, and third place overall in terms of Matric pass percentage (98%) in the district.

The NHS teaching team also walked away with numerous subject awards for their outstanding performances in the classroom.

The School Governing Body and management of the school bestows their sincere gratitude for the continued hard word and commitment shown by the school’s teachers in providing quality public education.
