LENNOXTON – Fund-raising, healthy lifestyle and community. These are three spin-offs Lennoxton Primary School (LPS) achieved, following its annual fun walk on Saturday afternoon.
Walkers of all ages turned up in their hundreds for the event.

Teachers explained it was a far greater turn-out than expected, with scores of residents of all ages trekking from the school on Draper Street in a circuit around the suburb.
“It’s very exciting because pupils walk with their friends and family, and it’s good exercise,” an LPS teacher commented.
She added the annual fun walk was centred on creating family time, especially for parents who work long hours, and the well-being of the community.
The fee of R20 per walker will be appropriated for various projects by LPS in future.
