Two suspects, aged 54 and 41, appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges of dealing in dagga.
The two were spotted by Van Reenen police officers on Thursday while they were hiking along the N3.
Both were carrying sports bags. The officers stopped to investigate and found that both bags were full of dagga.
The two were arrested.
The dagga weighs a total of 11kg and has an estimated street value of around R16,000.
