‘Stop vandalising our boards.’

This, the sentiments of an estate agency up in arms.

According to Japie Myburgh, Dealer Principal of Allied Real Estate, the agency’s sign boards, covered in vengeful markings, were found in the veld.

Mr Myburgh said it was not the first time the agency’s boards were vandalised, and he believed the culprit was someone with a vendetta against one of his competitors.

“We have been in the industry for many years and have never experienced these problems, until recently,” he said.

Mr Myburgh speculated another estate agent, whose boards were similar to those of Allied in colour, was actually meant to be targeted.

What upset him the most was that vandalising, damaging and stealing the boards, cost his company time, effort and money.

Mr Myburgh explained he would have no other choice but to take drastic action if the problem persisted.

“We respect other people’s belongings, therefore we expect the same respect back,” he concluded.
