The drugs and cash that Wembezi Police confiscated from a 32-year-old suspect in Wembezi.

Drugs and cash were seized from a suspect at yet another bust in Wembezi.

Cash, 23 drug straws and 18 pieces of mandrax were recovered from a 32-year-old suspect in the Nkwezela Section at about 7.30pm last Monday, May 30. According to a police report, the officers were following up on information, which led them to the suspect.

The man was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs. He appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, June 1.

Police estimate that the total street value of the drugs amounts to about R2 000.
