A man was in for a shock when he went to complete his tax returns at South African Revenue Service (SARS) in Newcastle.
This blunder between the Newcastle branch and a Dundee man has cost him more than R14 000.
According to the police, the complainant visited the SARS branch to complete his return when he was told he had already completed and owed SARS R14 239.68.
The complainant has denied receiving money from SARS.
This claim dates back to 2014, when the complainant is alleged to have first visited SARS for his tax return.
