On Monday morning, June 6, a Wembezi resident locked and then left her home.
When she returned from work she discovered that her premises had been broken into. Several items including clothing, blankets, pots, and electronic equipment had been stolen from the premises. The value of the stolen property is around R45 000. When the incident was reported, visible policing officers wasted no time.
They quickly sourced information as to the whereabouts and identity of the suspect. A 39-year-old man was soon traced and arrested.
The stolen property was discovered in his possession.
The suspect has been charged for being in possession of the stolen property. He appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 7.
