“They came into the house while we were sleeping and we didn’t hear a thing.”
Suspecting the perpetrators used some form of sedative to ensure the family remained subdued during the course of the burglary, the resident said she was only aware of what happened the next morning.
“I got up, got ready for work quickly and left. A few minutes later, my nanny phoned me in a state and said a window was broken and my television was gone.”

The resident said what upset her the most, was that the burglars had been close to her children, while the family had been sleeping.
“I bought myself two dogs, but they are puppies still and I can’t expect them to scare off anyone just yet. I have found it very difficult to sleep since the incident, and have started putting chairs and heaters in front of the windows, so I can hear if anyone comes into my house,” she concluded.
