Yesterday (Wednesday), eagle-eyed police officers from Ladysmith SAPS arrested a woman for dagga possession.
The two officers spotted the 52-year-old woman in Short Street.
She was acting very suspiciously and this prompted them to take a closer look at the bags she had with her.
Several packets of dagga were found inside a cooler bag, weighing in at 4.4kg.
The estimated street value of the drugs is around R6500.
The woman is set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday).
