Zola Primary hosts a hearty farewell

The farewell was filled with jubilation and the highlight of the day was the unveiling of retirees' portraits

During the past week Zola Primary School held a long-awaited farewell for seven of their retired educators.

The Scouts bid farewell with a honourary parade as the educators arrived. The farewell was held for the school’s previous Principal Mrs T Mbhele, and six level one teachers: Miss N Hlongwane, Mrs N Khumalo, Mrs M Mabaso, Mrs R Zondi, Mrs S Ndlela and Mr M Ndlovu.

A delicious breakfast was enjoyed by the attendees while gifts were exchanged with the educators. The farewell was filled with jubilation and the highlight of the day was the unveiling of retirees’ portraits.

Principal Mrs D Zondo, staff, the School Governing Body, learners and parents would like to thank ex-learner Miss Phiwokuhle Ndlovu, who stood in as the programme director, all those who attended, neighbouring schools for their support and lovely gifts as well as the sponsors who helped make the day a memorable success.

They also wish the retirees good health and joy as they begin a new chapter in life.
