Lasec continue to give back

These initiatives prove to be most rewarding to those directly involved in this project

In line with their ongoing project to unselfishly give back to the community, Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) educators Mr K Bihaspat and Miss D Govender started their winter school holidays by once again partnering with the Royal Hotel.

They made their way to the Aryan Benevolent Old Age Home situated in Glencoe on Tuesday last week. Fruit, yoghurt, muffins and scones were all sponsored by the Royal Hotel and the late M Chinnah.

On Friday, the same dedicated team made their way to the Tsakane area in Steadville, where 120 cups of soup were distributed to members of the community by Lasec learners and Mrs P Pillay.

On Sunday, The Fountain of Life Ministry in Forbes Street was visited, where 30 lunch packs were distributed to the children and youth ministry.

These initiatives have proven to be most rewarding to those directly involved in this project, as a simple act of kindness really does go a long way in restoring our faith in humanity.

If individuals know of an organisation or area that would benefit from this outreach programme, they are urged to contact Mr Bihaspat or Miss Govender on 036-633-0218.
