Senior citizens do their bit for Mandela Day

The senior citizens also ended the day with a Mandela Jive

Mandela Day is all about using your time to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

It was with this in mind that the members of the Endumeni Senior citizens held their Mandela Day initiative at the Glenridge Hall in Glencoe last week. The lovely ladies (and gents) wore their pajamas, in remembrance of all those who are sick.

Disadvantaged youngsters from the area and members of the Sithembile Luncheon Group were also invited and spoilt on the day.

The Senior Citizens also spread love and warmth by donating blankets to the ladies of the luncheon and hats and gloves to the youngsters. They each received a chocolate as well.

The day was capped off with a special Mandela Jive, Glencoe style.
