Union members march for job security

The marchers are currently in Murchison Street, so please use alternative routes

Cosatu municipal union members took to the streets today (Friday) to march for job security.

The march started at the Kandahar Avenue grounds at 10.15 am, heading towards Boxer Superstores and down Lyell Street.

The protesters are demanding that those who are temporarily employed be given jobs again once their contract expires.

The marchers are currently in Murchison Street, so please be advised and use alternative routes.

Public Safety officers are directing traffic, and police are also on scene.
