Two people were killed in a drive-by shooting along Helpmekaar Road this afternoon (Sunday).
The shooting occurred just after the speed humps before the Ezakheni turn-off.
There were two occupants in the vehicle and more than 15 rounds were fired, with shell casings lying all over the road. The vehicle veered off the road and went down an embankment.
Both occupants were killed.
The motive behind the shooting is unclear at this stage.
Ladysmith police and Public Safety were on scene.
