First reports of snow at Van Reenen

Be warned: First reports of snow at Van Reenen could mean road will be closed soon

Light snowfall has been reported in Van Reenen: 2cm deep (light dusting). RTI and N3TC are evaluating the situation. A decision to either keep the road open or close it will be taken when needed.

All motorists should exercise caution while travelling up Van Reenen’s Pass.

Should the road be closed, light vehicles will be diverted along the N11. Heavy vehicles will be stacked along the N3 at the Tugela Plaza until the road is cleared.

The R74 and R617 have already been closed.
