The Ladysmith Stock Theft Unit (STU) is appealing to the public to help them determine who the owners are of goats that were recently found in Umbulwane.
On Saturday, July 16, a group of individuals were spotted driving a small herd of goats in the Umbulwane area. The group was disturbed by members of the community and fled, leaving behind the goats.
The goats were then impounded. The animals are not tattooed, but some of them have ear markings.
Police officers from the Ladysmith Stock Theft Unit cannot determine who the owners of the goats are at this stage and are appealing to the public for help.
