Taxi boss shot dead after several attempts were made on his life

The taxi violence that has plagued Vryheid in recent times seems to have escalated once again as VryheidTaxiOwner’s  Association member, JP Khumalo, was viciously gunned down on Tuesday afternoon.
It is believed that Khumalo had stopped to buy a mielie from a vendor in South Street. Upon returning to his vehicle 10 shots rang out in the 4pm traffic and Khumalo and his vehicle were riddled with bullet holes.
This was not the first attempt on his life.
