Pupil flash mob thrills restaurant

PIONEER PARK – Eagle Peak Spur patrons were caught unawares by a flash mob on Friday evening.

Mid-mouthful, the patrons were joined by pupils of St Dominic’s Academy, who then broke into choral verse.

As unpredicted as it was, the school had prepared a week for this moment.

“We wanted to give the children something to do and enjoy, and share our passion for culture.”

After three songs from the choir’s Zulu Traditional Programme, the pupils left to thunderous applause from patrons, peers and staff of Spur.

To all involved, the flash mob was a success.

“We’ve never done something like this before,” Mrs van Rooyen beamed.
