Swift action in Dannhauser results in arrest

Swift action by a Dannhauser policeman resulted in a man being arrested and charges for being in possession of stolen property.
Warrant Officer Dan Perumal was on duty when he received information last week that a man was attempting to sell a crimping machine in Dannhauser.
When police swooped, they came across Khulekani Nkosi (34) of Blaauwbosch he was in possession of the machine.
When he was asked how came to be in possession of such a machine, he failed to give a proper explanation and was promptly arrested.
The machine is valued at R14 000 and was apparently stolen from the Santjax Building Project. The owner has since positively identified it.
The suspect has appeared in court and an investigation is continuing.
Crimping is joining two pieces of metal or other ductile material (usually a wire and a metal plate) by deforming one or both of them to hold the other. The bend or deformity is called the crimp.
