Egerton pupils tell a fairy tale with a ‘twist’

The audience applauded the young stars as they acted up a storm and danced along to upbeat music

Egerton Primary staged their annual play last night (October 20) in the school hall.

Called ‘Folk Tale Twist’, the pupils pulled off a marvellous production that had the audience captivated.

Bursts of cheering and laughter was evidence of the learners’ more-than-capable acting skills.

The play imparted the message that we should not judge a book by its cover and that the world is not black and white, but rather a colourful reality. Just picture a scenario in which the villains are tired of being bad and disliked all the time, while the heroes are keen for a bit of mischief and indulging their bad side for a change.

You can imagine the humorous results! A fairy tale with a twist, indeed!

The audience applauded the young stars as they acted up a storm and danced along to upbeat music.

It was a well-executed play and a fun-filled occasion indeed!
