ON Friday, October 14, the Grade 12 learners of 2016 attended their last assembly at VHS. It was a special assembly to which even their parents were invited. This was lead by Reverend Jacobs and the headmaster, who both had very inspiring messages for them. The general theme of their messages was that these learners are now done with school and have to look ahead and take charge of their futures.

The VHS choir performed at the Choir Festival hosted by NRS at the VHS hall on October 13. There were six local choirs and two choirs from Paulpietersburg that performed at this festive occasion. A big thank you to Mrs I van der Walt, who joined the choir as accompanist and to Mr C Boock, who performed as soloist at the NRS Festival. At the recent auditions for the Northern KZN Youth Choir, L Vilikazi, L Mkhwanazi and S Sibisi, all members of the VHS choir, were selected to be part of this prestigious regional choir. Congratulations!

Mnr Pieter Maree of NTT Toyota het ‘n drukpomp en water stoorgeriewe van 10 000l aan die skool geskenk. We sincerely appreciate this very considerate gesture that will definitely have a very positive influence on the general running of school facilities.
