KFC adds hope to Sifisosethu Crèche

At your next visit to a KFC restaurant offer R2 and help KFC Add Hope to help the plight of 3.2 million children in South Africa that go to bed hungry

In South Africa, 26 percent of children under the age of nine do not receive sufficient nutrition for proper brain and physical development. This means they can’t learn and play as other children would.

Well KFC’s  Add Hope (corporate social responsibility programme,) has grown to feed more than 110 000 children across the country each day.

Add Hope is an on-going national feeding initiative, allowing KFC customers to purchase ‘hope’ off the menu for R2, affording them the chance to change someone’s life.

In commemoration of World Hunger Month, staff of KFC Estcourt along with Area Manager, Fazel Sheik set out to Sifisosethu Crèche in Draycott, on Thursday, October 19 to handover cups, plates and bowls to assist the crèche with its feeding scheme.

The priceless reward was heart-warming smiles of hope, joy and gratitude. Later this month the vrèche will once again receive a cheque of R80 000, as they did last year.

The funds allocated allow for groceries to be purchased ensuring that the little ones are provided with nutritional meals to help them learn, grow and thrive.

Well, since this on-going national feeding initiative campaign was launched, seven years ago it has grown to feed  more than 110, 000 children across South Africa each day, with approximately R300 million.

Fight hunger and add hope.  Make a change with your change.
