Fundraiser a success despite wet weather

Visitors and locals made their way to the Forderville Hall where they showed off their sleek cars as well as their booming sound

The annual Car Show and Shine and Sound Competition in aid of the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) was held on Saturday.

With their eyes cast to the heavens, the organisers prayed that the rain would hold off until after the event, however Mother Nature had different plans. With the event threatened due to the inclement weather, the competition and prize giving was wrapped up by 9.30pm.

Winners were for the sound off – first Sathar with 154 decibels, second Shaylen with 150.2 decibels and third Rajesh with 150.0 decibels. In the show and shine – first was Marcy, second Pran and third Kashveer.

The total amount raised for Cansa will be verified later.
