Esperanza raises hope for children with special needs

NEWCASTLE – Children who cannot cope in mainstream schools, look to alternatives such as Esperanza Special Needs School for their education.
The school hosted a gospel concert fund-raiser at Grace Community Church Hall on Friday, November 11.

Esperanza is a non-profit organisation and relies solely on public financial contributions.
This function was in aid of assisting the school to continue providing a safe haven to children with special needs, such as
autism, Down syndrome, hearing and visual impairment, cerebral palsy and muscular disorders, among others.
Congregants of various churches performed at the concert, singing songs of worship and praise.
The school offers individualised educational programmes to optimise learning.
Esperanza also offers learners educational outings, and teach basic life skills, arts and crafts.

The funds raised will go towards operations and management, equipment purchases and extramural activities of the school.
