Locals heed the appeal for blood donations

At the monthly bleed 37 attended the clinic, 30 pints of blood were donated, and two new donors were welcomed

Locals set out last Thursday, November 10 to help save lives one pint at a time.

The South African National Blood Services (SANBS) team hosted their monthly blood donor clinic at the town hall from 11am to 6pm. Residents stopped by at the clinic to roll up their sleeves and make hearty donations to those in need.

At the monthly bleed 37 attended the clinic, 30 pints of blood were donated, and two new donors were welcomed.

The SANBS and the Blood Clinic Co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain, would like thank everyone who used the opportunity to save lives with a pint of their blood.

The next monthly blood donor clinic, which is also the last clinic of the year, will be held on Thursday, December 8 same time, same place.
