Water woes for Glencoe

Two major pipe bursts have left the town without water

Despite the constant rainfalls the area has been experiencing, Glencoe residents have been without water.

Two major burst pipes in two days meant that many in the town have had to suffer without the commodity for the past few days.

However, only certain streets were affecting, including Damman, Church and Kemp Street.

An official from Umzinyathi confirmed that the pipes had been fixed but that the levels in the Glencoe Resevoir were still currently very low.

As a result, the line to Wasbank has been closed to boost the levels to Glencoe.

This will not impact greatly on the town of Wasbank.
