October 18 was indeed a “Red Letter” Day for the staff and students of Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) when it hosted the 31st Annual Speech and Awards Function.
This momentous occasion was well received and attended by the awardees, their families and well-wishers.
Lasec salutes all the award winners on their fine achievements and for keeping the school’s flag flying high.
The 2016 Dux award was presented to head girl Amatullah Sulawale, while Wandile Sibisi received an award for ‘Outstanding Community Service’, and Nikiwe Madinane for ‘Sports Girl 2016’. Well done to all the learners who received awards!
