This so-called health record is being rolled out at primary health care clinics across the Amajuba District, in an attempt to improve service delivery.

“The patient health record serves to improve documentation processes and standardise health records across the province,” said the Amajuba District Director of Health, Mamosa Tshabalala.

According to the DoH, the registration process takes about 40 minutes to complete.

All clients of primary health care centres can expect delays at clinics, and must bring their Identity Documents and children’s birth certificates.

This will help reduce the time spent waiting.
