R103 closed due to protest

According to sister paper Estcourt and Midlands News, a protest earlier in the day (November 28) saw the R103 being closed.
The R103 near Chieveley was blocked by angry protesters who were complaining about the provision of electricity. The road was blocked with rocks, stones and tree branches, making it impossible for motorists to get through.
The matter has now been resolved and the road is open again. Residents were told that a meeting would be held with Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality to further discuss the matter.
