Grade 6 goes on retreat

ON November 24, NRS held its annual prize-giving ceremony for the Foundation Phase.

For many of the prize winners, this event was the highlight of the year. The following learners received the special award for creative writing: Dane de Beer (Gr 1), Usthandile Dlamini (Gr 2) and Shrayash Singh (Gr 3).

The following learners received special awards for their achievements in the different u/9 sporting codes: Njabulo Mchunu (rugby and boys hockey), Senamile Khanyile (netball and athletics), Zoe Ferreira (girls hockey), Ethan Thomas (cricket), Mhlengi Sibisi (cross-country boys) and Aphiwe Khumalo (cross-country girls). Congratulations to each and every prize winner!

Landloop: Verlede Dinsdag, het NRS se jaarlikse landloopbyeenkoms op Hoërskool Vryheid se sportvelde plaasgevind. Die volgende atlete het eerste plekke in hulle onderskeie ouderdomsgroepe verower: Malwande Khumalo (seuns o/10), Karabo Mbele (dogters o/10), Bandile Madi (seuns o/11), Thandolwethu Nokwe (dogters o/11), Lusanda Buthelezi (seuns o/12), Beatrice de Vos (dogters o/12), Zee Thusini (seuns o/13), Lwandile Madi (dogters o/13) en Lungelo Msane (seuns o/14). Baie geluk aan al hierdie atlete!

Gr 6-kamp: NRS se Gr 6-leerders het die naweek van November 25 tot 26 op Elandsheim Retreat deurgebring. Hulle het baie uit al die aktiwiteite geleer en die hele uitstappie gate uit geniet.
