Petrol price set for festive season drop

Motorists travelling this festive season can expect more bang for their buck with a lower fuel price.

Newcastillians preparing to travel this festive season have much to look forward to.

The price of petrol is expected to drop by 20 cents tomorrow, December 7.

The price of diesel, 0.05 percent sulfur, will go down by 32 cents per litre and diesel, 0.005 percent sulphur, by 31 cents per litre.

The price of illuminating paraffin is also set to drop by 38 cents per litre.

The Automobile Association (AA) said the drop in the fuel price was thanks to an improvement in the Rand/Dollar exchange rate, as well as the decrease in the price of crude oil.

The drop in the fuel price is sure to allow residents travel further this month, while aiding in saving extra money for Christmas gifts.
