PARADISE – St Dominic’s Academy Newcastle held its annual Academic Awards ceremony recently.
A number of learners excelled in their respective grades, and the school congratulated them on the outstanding achievements.
There were two highlights of the evening.

The first was the Matric learners donating their shoes to the less fortunate, and the second the announcement of the 2017 prefects:
Congratulations to Methembe Nkosi, Keegan Rajah, LJ van Staden, Gustav Boshoff, Jamie Steenkamp, Aphelele Ndlovu, Bongiwe Ngobese, Mampho Sibeko and Luther Kilufya (Boarder Prefect).
The Head Prefects were also announced at the awards ceremony.
Congratulations to Harish Singh and Martha Mnisi on selection for Deputy Head Prefects, and both Surav Anandhaw and Peggy Hsu as Head Prefects.
