“There is still a time for every purpose under heaven, and during the month of November there was a time to remember the soldiers who fought and died for our peace.”

Vince Nixon said in November, members of the South African Legions collected small donations by selling red poppies, the flower of remembrance, as a way of raising funds for the old soldiers.

After spending two Saturdays selling red poppies, members were able to collect enough funds to give 12 old soldiers gifts which would help make their Christmas a little better.
