Superstar George Michael dies on Christmas Day

The solo performer died peacefully at his home

Pop star George Michael, who was also the lead singer of the 80s group ‘Wham!’, has sadly passed away in Goring, Oxfordshire, at 53 years of age.

The hugely successful solo performer died at his home on Christmas Day.

His family announced the news of his death in a statement issued through the singer’s publicist, saying that it is with great sadness that they confirm that the singer passed away peacefully at his home over the Christmas period.

A small heart wreath and a rose are among the tributes that have begun to be left outside the front door of George Michael’s home.
