A 47-year-old man appeared in court today (December 30) following the disappearance of a teenage girl who was later found by police.
The 47-year-old, who is believed to be a relative, faces charges of abduction and having sexual intercourse with a minor.
The suspect, dressed in black tracksuit pants and an orange top, appeared before Magistrate Mazibuko.
The case was remanded to January 5, 2017, for a legal aid representative and a formal bail application.
