Home Affairs launches brand new service point

VRYHEID Home Affairs is determined to go the extra mile in ensuring great service to the people.

VRYHEID Home Affairs is determined to go the extra mile in ensuring great service to the people.
They have recently launched a service point in Louwsburg to help bring services closer to members of the community who often have to travel more than 60 km into Vryheid to receive their requirements.

“Through operation Sukuma Sakhe, Home Affairs approved that we take this service to the people to help them obtain their services more efficiently,” said Phumlani Mchunu of Home Affairs.

The service centre was launched on January 12, at the Louwsburg Community Hall and will be operational twice a month.

“Although members of Louwsburg will not have access to all services, we have tried to make it easier by bringing the basic services closer for them,” Mr Mchunu went on.
Services that will be provided include: birth registration, late registration of birth (the registration of a child after 30 days), first issue ID documents and the issuing of IDs.
The service is only going to be available twice a month until Louwsburg gets their own office.

Home Affairs would like to thank Councillor Thanduyise Nkosi of Ward 1 for working together with them to make this service point possible.

The scheduled plan for Ngoje Service Point is as follows:
January 26, February 2, February 23, March 9, March 30. April 20, April 27, May 11, May 25, June 8, June 29. For more information contact 034 989 7900/05/03/01.
