Update: Illegal dumping on vacant Ladysmith land cleared up
Residents hope for the best now that the eyesore has been removed, and pray that the vacant land stays clean
The illegal dumping that has been taking place in Daffodil Crescent for many years has finally been cleaned up completely.
A grader was seen clearing the horrible mess and overgrown grass that has taken over the vacant land. This brings great relief to residents, but some will undoubtedly see it as an opportunity to continue dumping there.
The land was set alight on Monday, with thick black smoke filling the air in the area.

Residents hope for the best now that the eyesore has been removed, and pray that the vacant land stays clean.
Some residents want the land to be closed off completely so that no more dumping can take place. They say that a simple ‘No Dumping’ sign doesn’t do any good.
“All the people who want to dump illegally should be fined, as the municipal dump isn’t very far away,” commented one resident.
