Freemasons remember Robert Burns
The annual supper is held every January on the Saturday closest to Burns’s birthday, January 25, to remind guests of his impact on Scottish history and tradition.
Freemasons Coronation Lodge hosted its annual Burns Supper last Saturday night.
Guests enjoyed an evening of Scottish cuisine, melodiously played bagpipes and poetry composed by Robert Burns.
The event was in honour of Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet, who is considered a pioneer of the Romantic Movement.

The format of the evening followed the very first Burns Supper in 1801, when haggis was served to guests, preceded by a reading of Address to a Haggis.
