Overflowing sewage running into a stream on Tweefontein, Amiel Park, was allegedly caused by a malfunctioning pump station on the property.

“The stream eventually flows into the Ncandu River and into our water supply,” said a concerned resident.
The problem has allegedly been ongoing for several months, but was only repaired on Tuesday, January 24.
“When the matter was reported to the municipality, they did repair it but not enough maintenance is being done.”
The municipality was contacted for comment, but none was forthcoming at the time of going to print.
