THE VHS library has undergone some refreshing changes under the new guidance of Ms S Harris.
Ms Harris has big dreams for the school’s library and has already made strides towards making the library an inviting place for learners to be. She has also made the library available to the learners before and after school.
Ms Harris and her team of librarians have a long wish list for the library. They would like to upgrade the book collection and buy comfortable reading chairs, to name but a few. All of their wishes and dreams will obviously require funding. If you would like to get involved by donating to the cause or attend the Bookworm Ball, which is the library’s fundraising event, please contact the school or Ms Harris directly.
On Thursday, January 26, the learners had some good old sticky fun at the annual fruit festival and ended the day with the first school ‘sokkie’. This was a good event to show case that, amidst all the hard academic work, we also take breaks and have fun. Our learners also took part in the athletics meeting at Pionier on Saturday. Results are pending.
