STEPPING Out Dance Academy and Artist Management’s students kicked off the year with a workshop in Harrismith to get those dance minds thinking and get those dance muscles strong.
Clarrisa Scheepers, Angela Stoltenkamp, Samantha Lawarne, Caity Scheepers, Mieke van der Walt and Megan de Beer participated in the Summer Dance Workshop where they danced for up to five hours per day.
The workshop was hosted by two amazing choreographers, Antoinize Hugo and Annari Botha from ‘Dance 2 the Beat’ Dance Studio in Pretoria.
They learned Hip Hop, Contemporary and also spent time with all the students to practice tumbling and acrobatics. They also gave the teachers and students some valuable tips on technique and stretching. Students from as young as seven years old attended this workshop. These dedicated students were amazed by what they learned in only two days! The passion and love for dance pushed them to their limits.
“We are so thankful for the opportunity to learn,” writes Marina de Beer from Stepping Out Dance Academy. “There will be another Dance Workshop in July. Everyone is welcome to join! Well done to all my dancers who pushed themselves to the limit.”
