Dirty water flows out of Ladysmith taps

Around 7am, water returned to the taps, but it was brown-looking

Many people were stranded without water from last night (February 8) in Acaciavale, Aloe Park and other areas of Ladysmith.

Around 7am today, water returned to the taps, but residents were disgusted as it was dirty and brown-looking.

“How can uThukela expect us to drink and cook with this filthy water?” said a furious resident.

“uThukela must inform all councillors if they are having a problem and when they turning off the taps so we councillors can inform the community” commented Councillor Abbas Warasally.

We are awaiting comment from uThukela regarding this matter.
